What is CHAPTA, what is our aim and how can you join?

Our aim is quite simple; we want to organise fun events for Castle Hill Academy children as well as raising the funds to be able to make purchases that will help enrich their education.

Want to join us? All parents, carers and staff are automatically CHAPTA members (and it didn’t cost you a penny!!). We hope more of you will want to get involved and help us hold BIGGER and BETTER events. Your involvement might be wanting to join the regular committee (we do have a vacancy for the Chairperson!) to occasionally helping out at one or two events a year. We really don’t mind… we just want more people to come along and get involved, after all, ‘every little helps

We meet on a regular basis during afternoons and occasionally after school for class based staff to attend. Everyone is welcome to attend. We only ask that when we meet we follow simple meeting etiquette:

We follow the prepared agenda

We do not talk over each other

We acknowledge other people’s views might differ from our own but do not get drawn into debates…

We aim to work together for the benefit of OUR children

Respect, Support and Encourage each other

Meetings are held at 1.30pm in the Early Years unless specified otherwise:

After school dates have yet to be confirmed but will be on Wednesdays starting approx. 3:45pm.

This PTA fundraising event will be held on the last school Wednesday of each Month

Parents / carers and staff are invited to bring in homemade cakes to be sold both in the Early Years and Middle Years playgrounds by PTA members.

Please bring cakes in on the Tuesday before OR Wednesday morning at the latest.

NO NUTS in any cakes please.

Castle Hill Academy PTA Community Project.

CHAPTA will hold a ‘Giving Back to the Community’ scheme during the first week of every month. We would like donations of non-perishable food, toiletries and cleaning supplies to be dropped into the special bins that will be placed in both the Early Years and Middle Years reception areas. Nappies (even opened bags) are also desperately needed.

All such donations will be passed to our local Salvation Army, an organisation that does much to help residents in New Addington as well as some of our own families.

Help us to show OUR children the importance of good community spirit whilst also raising the profile of Castle Hill Academy!

Help US help those in need!
